Committed to Safety:
According to the National Safety Council, "The USA Swimming Foundation reports nearly 90 children younger than 15 drowned in a pool or spa from January through May 2018, and every year about 19 children drown during the July 4 holiday." Shoreline works to reduce this scary statistic by teaching children using a combination of survival techniques and proper swim strokes.

Our Lessons: At Shoreline Swim School believes that learning can only be fostered from a feeling of mutual respect, guidance, and direction, and do our very best to maintain those values in everything we do. Shoreline is always researching best practices for teaching swim lessons to be sure we are up to date with the latest strategies. Our unique approach supplies our swimmers with the proper support system that will help with their confidence in the water. Each lesson plan is designed and modified to meet individual needs. We use teacher model behavior and Multiple Intelligence teaching methods (visual, audio, etc. teaching styles). Shoreline engages swimmers by using various educational water games to keep children entertained while learning. Lessons focus on survival skills and swim strokes. With years of experience as educators, we know just what it takes to engage swimmers. Our unique teaching approach makes our swimmers feel valued, respected and appreciated. At Shoreline Swim School, we believe in fostering a creative, collaborative, and engaging experience to help our swimmers reach their full potential in the water. Meet The Team

Stephanie, Owner

Stephanie was born and raised in Connecticut. Growing up, her family was fortunate to own a boat. Most of her summer weekends were spent boating, swimming, water skiing, and tubing at the lake. Stephanie loves to say she has “water in her soul” because her safe heaven is the beach. Her family also owned a pool, where Stephanie spent countless hours swimming. During her studies in college, Stephanie worked part-time as a swim instructor at a private swim school. Here, she fell in love with teaching and her love for the water grew even more. Immediately after graduating with her B.A. from Southern Connecticut State University , Stephanie went on to receive her M.S. in Education from the University of Bridgeport where her husband Brock played baseball. Brock, has been Stephanie’s #1 supporter during her journey of opening and running a swim school. Stephanie is also a mom to her 7 month old daughter, Ceanna. Ceanna is a little mermaid who already loves the water! In her spare time, Stephanie loves to go to the beach, for walks, spend time with family and most of all be with her husband and daughter! Being Ceanna’s mom is Stephanie’s biggest blessing in life.

Stephanie has a desire to create an educational atmosphere that swimmers will love being around. Our programs are intended to empower swimmers to tackle challenges and take on experiences that may be new to them. At Shoreline Swim School, we are constantly striving to make learning fun and dynamic so that all of our swimmers can accomplish their goals.

We have an amazing crew of aquatic instructors here at Shoreline! We have become more of a family than coworkers, as they truly are a wonderful group of individuals to work with! These educators have a passion for children, teaching, and water safety. Many have competitively swam and have extensive backgrounds in the field of water safety. Each instructor at Shoreline has been through the Shoreline training and teaching course and teaches using our unique swim methodology and lesson plans. Instructors are Lifeguard Certified through the American Red Cross. We have both full time and part time instructors.
